Leading labor and employment law firm Ogletree Deakins has renewed and expanded its regional office footprint at the Esplanade III, making it the second law firm that JLL has renewed within the past 12 months at the Camelback Esplanade, a landmark mixed-use office development located in the heart of Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor.

Managing Director John Pierson, Vice President Trevor Pratt and Associate Lauren Lovell from the Phoenix office of JLL represented Ogletree Deakins in the lease agreement. Jim Achen and Bill Zurek of Transwestern represented building ownership.

“The Esplanade has immediate access to some of metro Phoenix’s best restaurants and services, and sits at the center of one of the state’s most dynamic business corridors,” said Pierson. “After evaluating its relocation options, Ogletree ultimately found that its current location was the best one to support its expansion plans, maintain continuity in its operations and continue to provide a premier environment for its employees and clients.

Under its new lease, Ogletree Deakins will expand its Esplanade III footprint to 18,801 square feet. The space is used for a regional office.

Atlanta-based Ogletree Deakins employs more than 900 attorneys and represents a diverse range of clients – from small businesses to Fortune 50 companies – from 53 offices across the U.S., Europe, Canada and Mexico.

Ogletree Deakins’ expanded regional office sits on the eight floor of Esplanade III, a 218,387-square-foot, Class A trophy office building located at 2415 E. Camelback Road. Esplanade III is part of the larger Camelback Esplanade development, which includes five Class A mid-rise office towers, an AMC dine-in movie theatre, Starbucks, Tocaya Organica, Merc Bar and FLINT by Baltaire, among other amenities. It is adjacent to the high-end Camby Hotel and across the street from the world-renowned Biltmore Fashion Park, offering more than 60 popular restaurants and retailers.

Tenancy at Camelback Esplanade includes a strong mix of legal, insurance, financial and real estate services entities. Within the past year alone, JLL also renewed a lease for law firm DLA Piper at Esplanade II, after the company opted to renew and remain at the landmark project.
