The proposed project, currently dubbed Maricopa Entertainment Center, will feature approximately 25,000 square feet of indoor attractions combined with outdoor amenities designed to serve residents, visitors and sports tourism guests.
A newly released concept rendering showcases the vision for the site, highlighting the seamless integration of indoor entertainment, outdoor recreation and community-focused gathering areas.
Planned features include:
- Duckpin bowling
- Arcade games
- Mixed-reality arena
- Multi-level climbing structure
- Social gaming
- Putting course
- Karting
- Café
- Bar
- Event space
- Community gathering space with lawn games and entertainment stage
The development team is also exploring opportunities for a hotel or restaurant to locate adjacent to the project, further enhancing the destination experience.
“Recreation and entertainment fit hand-in-glove making this the perfect complement to the amazing offerings already at Copper Sky,” said developer Scott Bartle.
Bartle emphasized the project’s potential to improve quality of life while keeping entertainment spending local.
“Providing important services right here in the city is good for Maricopa residents and the Maricopa economy,” Bartle said. “Maricopans should spend their leisure time on the racetrack at Copper Sky, not the racetrack that is SR 347.”
City leaders also see the project as an important addition to Maricopa’s growing recreation and tourism infrastructure.
“It’s exciting to see Maricopa’s growth creating new opportunities for businesses and amenities that enhance life in our community,” said Mayor Nancy Smith. “Entertainment and recreation are priorities our residents consistently tell us they value, so it’s great to see a project with this much potential move forward. The Maricopa Entertainment Center’s investment will not only expand local entertainment options but also support our efforts to position Copper Sky as a premier destination for sports, events, and tourism across the region and beyond.”
Community Input Requested
Residents are encouraged to participate in a brief one-minute survey to help ensure the entertainment center reflects the interests and priorities of the Maricopa community. Visit CopperSkyFun.com to share feedback and learn more about the project.
