Primak Construction Group (PCG) has completed construction of Falcon 12, a four-building, 68,500-square-foot aviation development at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, Arizona. Developed by DKS Properties LLC, the ground-up project includes 12 aircraft hangars and approximately 7,400 square feet of corporate office space.

Located on just over four acres within Falcon Field Airport’s historic district, Falcon 12 is situated at Lot 12 on Falcon Drive near the airport’s primary entrance. The development occupies a prominent location serving as a gateway for visitors entering the airport.

PCG served as the project’s construction manager at risk (CM@R) and provided preconstruction services throughout the project’s development, including budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews and design input. Construction included four separate hangar buildings designed to accommodate aviation tenants, with corporate office space in one of the larger buildings that can be leased separately or in combination with an adjacent hangar.

As on all of PCG’s projects, safety program execution remained the top priority throughout the project, which PCG and its Trade Partners completed without any injuries, accidents, or safety incidents during the entire construction process.

Falcon 12 represents the seventh project PCG has completed in partnership with DKS Properties, continuing a long-standing relationship between the two organizations over the past eight years. PCG and DKS Properties have collaborated on projects since 2018, with PCG providing construction expertise and design input during the development of Falcon 12.

The project’s location within the airport’s historic district and at its primary entrance also required consideration of Falcon Field’s history and character. The City of Mesa and Falcon Field Airport Authority established enhanced design expectations for the building facades facing public roadways as part of the development process.

“Completing Falcon 12 is another important milestone in our long-standing partnership with DKS Properties and a reflection of the work of the entire project team,” said Lou Primak, president and COO of Primak Construction Group. “Projects like this require close collaboration from the development and design teams through our trade partners and the airport. We’re proud to have played a significant role in bringing this development to completion and adding new aviation facilities at one of Mesa’s most prominent gateways.”

“DKS Properties builds long-standing partnerships based on trust, and Primak Construction Group has consistently delivered projects on time and on budget,” said Jay Donkersloot, president of DKS Properties. “Falcon 12 represents another successful project with PCG, and we’re pleased to bring additional aviation facilities to Falcon Field.”

The developed land remains part of the overall Falcon Field Airport property under DKS Properties’ long-term land lease through a development agreement with the Falcon Field Airport Authority and the City of Mesa.
