Adam Finkel

Senior managing director, Marcus & Millichap

BACKGROUND: Finkel is responsible for securing debt and equity financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, senior housing and hospitality. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Finkel co-founded Tower Capital in 2015.

SURPRISING FACT: “I began training in martial arts when I was 5 years old, earning a black belt in Uechi Ryu karate when I was 15, making me one of the youngest students in my dojo to earn this rank.”

Anthony Valenzuela

Executive managing director, Newmark

BACKGROUND: Throughout his career, Valenzuela has become an expert in the origination of niche multifamily agency programs including green, value-add, preferred equity and near stabilized loans — placing more than $6 billion of debt and equity.

FAVORITE PROJECT: “Moontower Phoenix. I’ve lived in Arizona for over 25 years and remember the first time going downtown on a Saturday — and it was a ghost town. Its growth has been remarkable and Moontower embodies what’s possible.”

Brad Miner

Senior managing director, JLL

BACKGROUND: With more than 18 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, Miner focuses primarily on originating debt and equity transactions in Arizona.

SURPRISING FACT: “I lived in Japan for two years and can speak Japanese. Occasionally, I will take a meeting with a Japanese investor or lender and I won’t let them know about my Japanese past. At just the right moment, I will jump in with some Japanese. Almost without fail, they respond with disbelief that this very white, very American person can speak Japanese. Was it worth two years of learning this incredibly difficult language just to surprise people every now and again? I think so.”

Kristian Brown

Director, Cushman & Wakefield

BACKGROUND: Brown specializes in commercial real estate equity and debt placement, drawing upon a robust background in real estate development feasibility and strategic analysis. His proficiency extends to acquisition, development and recapitalization underwriting, with a particular focus on promote structure design and waterfall negotiation.

SOURCE OF PRIDE: “The accomplishment I’m proudest of from the last three years is being named the top-producing senior associate across Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets platform in the Americas in 2025. Earning that recognition against a deep national field and doing it while expanding well beyond a single asset class meant a great deal to me.”

Volt Migrino

First vice president, Matthews

BACKGROUND: An industry veteran with nearly three decades of experience, Migrino’s practice is built around tailoring financing structures, rates, and terms to each client’s investment and portfolio objectives.

SURPISING FACT: Most mortgage bankers come from the borrower side of the table, but Migrino spent nearly 20 years on the other side as a banker, giving him a firsthand understanding of how lenders think, structure deals and make decisions that few of his peers can claim.
