Slater Hanifan Group announced that Jack Moody, P.E., CFM, has recently joined the firm as the Director of Water Resources for SHG’s Phoenix office. In this role, Moody will be responsible for the creation, growth, and oversight of the stormwater and flood control practice. Prior to joining SHG, Moody had spent his entire 30-year career working on drainage, flood control, and Section 404 permitting projects throughout the desert southwest.
Moody joining the Phoenix office reflects the growth and response to client need’s the local office is committed to serving. “Jack’s knowledge and relationships make him an incredible resource and leader within SHG. Our firm can now offer a range of additional services here in Arizona as well as across the Southwest,” stated Patrick Lowry, Director of Phoenix Operations. “We are poised to grow our presence in Arizona because of both the tangible and intangible assets he brings to us.”
As graduate of the University of Arizona and a Phoenix native, Moody brings years of experience to SHG’s growing Phoenix office. Additional designations and industry leadership includes Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), chairman of the Technical Committee of the Arizona Floodplain Management Association (AFMA) and a member of the Arizona Department of Water Resources State Standards Work Group. He is also active philanthropically as a professional mentor to the Arizona State University chapter of Engineers Without Borders, assisting with projects in Africa.
