Sundt Construction, Inc. recently completed work on the Valleywise Health North and South Metro Ambulatory clinics. The North clinic is located on the southwest corner of 19th Avenue and Northern Avenue, and the South clinic is on the northwest corner of 35th and Southern Avenue.
“We’re thrilled to provide both of these new buildings for Valleywise Health. Community inclusion is a central theme of the design, construction and placement of these buildings,” said Andrew Wegner, Sundt project manager. “This work is at the heart of our company’s purpose: to build environments where our clients, employee-owners and communities prosper.”
The two community health center projects are approximately 14 miles from each other. Both clinics are single-story 26,000-square-foot buildings on three-acre sites. Each clinic features 24 exam rooms, an X-ray room, ultrasound rooms, lab space, a pharmacy, as well as a community learning library and classrooms.
The design is highlighted by multiple structural elements, allowing natural light to penetrate all parts of the buildings. Sundt teamed with DWL Architects & Planners, Inc. to complete the project, which broke ground in 2019.
