Arizona native Rene Mousseux of Los Angeles-based RPM Stunts will produce his first film, an indie horror titled “The Dead Remember” set in the remote town of Young, Ariz. Mousseux will partner with legendary horror director Scott Spiegal to fulfill a long-time passion of producing a feature film in his hometown.

Rene Mousseux is known for his Hollywood action stunts and has starred in more than 50 feature films, including “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Dumb and Dumber To.” He brings a $4.2 million budget and decades of industry experience to his new role behind the camera.

“I love performing, but film production has always been my passion and it’s something that I’ve been working towards for a long time,” said Mousseux. “I’m excited to take this next step as a producer and to be able to do it in my hometown.”

“The Dead Remember” takes place in the remote town of Young, Ariz.—population 666. A family’s desert summer vacation turns supernatural when strange things begin to happen. With the help of a local Navajo man, 15-year-old Isaiah Reynolds must battle an evil force to save his family.

Mousseux’s mission is to bring more of his own feature films to Arizona and hopes more movie producers will look to his home state as a set location in the future.

“Arizona stacks up to other major production cities with all that it has to offer. This state has more than 300 days of sunshine, free use of state roads and state parks, and low production costs,” said Mousseux. “It makes sense to produce more movies here.”

Filming for “The Dead Remember” is scheduled to shoot within the next year . For more information, visit rpmstunts.com.
