WebPT, the leading EMR for physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, today announced it has been selected as the recipient of a Red Herring Top 100 award. This world-renowned award program was established in 1996 to recognize exceptional startups from Asia, Europe and the Americas. Hundreds of companies undergo a rigorous, three-step review process, and the 100 honorees are selected based on criteria such as level of specialty, social contribution, disruptiveness in the market, revenue, growth rates, branding, and leadership and team quality.

“The Red Herring Top 100 award is one of the most highly acclaimed awards in business, and we are thrilled to earn this recognition,” said Nancy Ham, CEO of WebPT. “We’ve worked diligently at WebPT to contribute meaningfully to the rehab therapy community and healthcare industry as a whole through innovation, education and advocacy. Through intentionality, we’ve experienced stellar growth rates, achieved numerous awards and become an ally to healthcare practitioners who are improving the quality of patient care through the use of technology. Being part of the Red Herring Top 100 gives us further proof we’re on the right track and making a difference.”

To be considered for the Red Herring Top 100 awards, companies must prepare an event presentation and a thorough report as well as complete an examination in front of up to six judges who vet the quality of each company’s business model and appraise the vision of its leadership team. Additionally, each applicant must be a privately held technology/life science company that is headquartered in a specific region.

In addition to winning a spot among the Red Herring Top 100, WebPT has reached several other key milestones and achievements throughout 2017 that have contributed to the most significant momentum in the company’s nine-year history. Earlier this year, the company ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies for the fifth consecutive year, earned the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics and received the Arizona Corporate Excellence Award.
