Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow), a nonprofit organization that provides service-enriched housing programs for residents of rental housing communities throughout the country, has announced K. Nicole Flores, senior vice president for the Austin office of City Real Estate Advisors, has been elected to its board as a director for 2015. With a background in several industry organizations and expertise in multifamily housing, Flores joins the eleven current leaders on Rainbow’s board of directors, which include:

“Nicole’s diverse background working with multifamily development and nonprofits, as well as within property and asset management, all tie directly back into the type of work we do here at Rainbow,” said Flynann Janisse, executive director for Rainbow. “She brings a wealth of well-rounded expertise to our team which will greatly benefit Rainbow in achieving our goals for 2015.”
A 19-year industry veteran, Flores is involved with several industry organizations including the Texas affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers as vice president and lifetime ex-officio member and the annual Texas housing conference chair. She previously served on the Affordable Housing Advisory Council as a council member and secretary, as well as the mayor’s taskforce on the homeless and disabled in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas. Flores received her bachelor’s degree from California University, Fullerton.
