Lifestyle | 10 May |

More Barrio Queen locations are opening around the Valley! Today, hot spot restaurant Barrio Queen officially unveiled the much-anticipated renderings for its fourth and fifth locations. The Queen Creek and Tempe locations will both be opening late Fall 2019. The much-anticipated restaurants are custom-designed by well-known architect, Mark Candelaria, AIA.

At a total of 6, 460 square feet, the Queen Creek location will offer ample indoor and outdoor space. Located in Queen Creek Marketplace (21156 S. Ellsworth Loop Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142), it will be located across from Mountainside Fitness and BevMo.

The Tempe location will be situated in Tempe Marketplace (2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281) and feature 6,428 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. It will be situated between Ruby Tuesday and Thirsty Lion Gastropub.

The décor will be tailored to the location, and will incorporate the Day of the Dead brand look. Artwork from Mexico and local artists will also adorn the space. Both locations will also continue the tradition of incorporating fun, vibrant color palettes across the locale, as well as feature authentic Mexican art and accessories, including custom artwork by Mexico-native artist Genaro Garcia. As well, they will incorporate an “outdoor to indoor” feeling with operable windows at the main dining booths, large garage door at the main dining bar, and a tequila bar and tequila room. Other design features include a grand brick fireplace in the tequila rooms, and a communal dining table to display full decorative table settings procured by clients.

Since opening its first location, Barrio Queen has garnered numerous awards, including “Top 10 Best Table Side Guacamole” from USA Today, “Best New Restaurants in America” from Esquire’s Restaurants, first place in the nation for best tabletop installations from Table Top Awards, “Best Guacamole” from Travel+Leisure, “Best Tacos in Phoenix“ from 3TV and CBS 5 and “Best of Phoenix Skinny Chola Margarita” from Phoenix New Times.

“We are so excited for this new location,” says Barrio Queen owners Linda Nash and Steve Rosenfield. “We’re being meticulous in the design and we’ll have multiple seating areas perfect for any mood, from fun to laidback. We want you to forget about life stresses for a short time, come eat good food, and be with the family, our Barrio Family.”

Queen Creek is now hiring for all positions. For more information, email HR@barrioqueen.com.
