In today’s wellness industry, customers have more choices than ever before. Thousands of brands compete for attention, often making similar promises while trying to stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace. For entrepreneur Steven Gregoire, founder of Quiet Monk CBD, success has never been about creating the loudest marketing campaign. Instead, he believes the companies that thrive over the long term are the ones that earn trust one customer at a time.
Gregoire’s journey into the wellness industry wasn’t driven by market research or a desire to capitalize on a growing trend. It came from decades of personal experience and a simple belief that businesses should solve real problems while treating customers honestly.
Long before launching Quiet Monk CBD, Steven Gregoire spent decades immersed in martial arts. Teaching alongside his son gave him firsthand experience with the physical demands that come from years of training, repetitive movement, and recovery. Like many active adults, he began exploring topical wellness products as part of his own recovery routine, but he quickly noticed something missing.
“I realized there was a huge difference between marketing and quality,” Gregoire explains. “Customers deserved products that focused on consistency, transparency, and ingredients they could actually trust.”
The mission became deeply personal after watching his father live with rheumatoid arthritis. Like many families facing chronic health challenges, Gregoire searched for ways to help improve his father’s quality of life. That experience reinforced his belief that products should never be built around marketing claims alone—they should be created with care, consistency, and a genuine commitment to quality.
“My dad became the reason Quiet Monk CBD exists,” Steven Gregoire says. “Watching someone you love struggle changes your perspective. I wanted to build products that I would feel completely confident giving to my own family.”
One product, in particular, became especially meaningful.
“Our 5,000mg CBD Cream was always my dad’s favorite,” Gregoire recalls. “He reached for it more than anything else. Seeing how much he valued having it available reminded me every day why quality matters so much. Every batch we make carries that responsibility.”
Together with his son, Steven Gregoire founded Quiet Monk CBD with a different philosophy. Rather than chasing trends or relying on flashy marketing, they committed themselves to producing high-potency topical products using premium ingredients, third-party laboratory testing, and carefully controlled formulations designed around consistency and transparency.
For Gregoire, trust isn’t something a company can advertise its way into.
“You earn trust by showing customers exactly what they’re getting,” he says. “Be transparent about your ingredients. Test your products. Answer questions honestly. When you do that consistently, people come back because they know they can rely on you.”
As consumer expectations continue to evolve, Steven Gregoire believes today’s customers are more informed than ever. They compare ingredients, research companies, read reviews, and expect businesses to stand behind what they sell.
“I actually think that’s a great thing,” Gregoire says. “It pushes businesses to become better. Companies can’t rely on hype anymore. They have to deliver.”
That commitment to education has become one of Quiet Monk CBD’s defining principles. Rather than simply describing products, the company has invested in educational resources designed to help consumers better understand topical wellness products, ingredient selection, product concentrations, and manufacturing quality.
“An educated customer makes better decisions,” says the Quiet Monk CBD founder. “Even if they don’t buy from us immediately, I’d rather they have accurate information than confusing marketing.”
Gregoire also believes independent businesses possess an advantage that larger corporations sometimes lose as they grow.
“When you’re a small company, every customer matters,” he explains. “You hear their stories. You answer their emails. You improve because of their feedback. That relationship becomes part of your business.”
Looking ahead, Steven Gregoire says his vision isn’t simply to grow Quiet Monk CBD into a larger company. His goal is to build a company that people recommend because they’ve experienced the quality firsthand.
“In business, products can always be copied,” Gregoire says. “Advertising changes every year. But trust takes years to build and only minutes to lose. If we continue earning that trust every day, everything else will take care of itself.”
