The continued regeneration of the Metro Pavilion area will experience a major milestone Nov. 2, 2021. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned to celebrate the grand opening of Adelante Healthcare’s innovative 40,000 square foot West Phoenix location from 1-2 p.m.

The comprehensive medical facility will be housed in the former Sports Authority building, located at 9610 N. Metro Parkway West. Adelante Healthcare worked closely with the Metro District Community Collaboration, 19North and other community organizations for months to develop a shared vision for the role of Metro Center and the surrounding community.

“Our story started in 1979 with humble roots to create equity to healthcare with farmworkers. This mission continues today with many of our patients coming from working families,” says Pedro Cons, CEO of Adelante Healthcare. “Now more than ever, healthcare is important. We offer patients a state-of-the-art facility that has diverse medical offerings and is easily accessible by public transportation, which will be vital to the community.”

Adelante’s Metrocenter location underwent a multi-million-dollar transformation this year. The facility will provide a variety of services, including pediatric, OB-GYN, family medicine, mental and behavioral health, dental services, women’s health, WIC (Women, Infant and Children) nutrition program, and lab services.

Onsite assistance is available on a walk-in basis for people who need help filling out AHCCCS applications and navigating the Health Insurance Marketing Place. Also, a new program called Care Today allows patients to get same day care without an appointment.

One unique aspect of Adelante Healthcare is that the staff is multicultural and multilingual. Employees are trained to respect and honor cultural differences. At last count, Adelante’s providers spoke 11 languages, and are happy to provide translation services for individuals who request it.

Cons said, “We pay attention to cultural aspects that make our patients unique. As a result, we treat the whole person.”

Adelante is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Thus, being a non-profit, the centers are not focused on treating as many patients as possible, but instead focus on working with each patient to get well, be well and live well.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2021. We will have patients available and sharing their personal healthcare stories. For more information about Adelante Healthcare and any of its nine Arizona locations, visit: https://www.adelantehealthcare.com/
