Valley media industry veteran Amy Lindsey has been named publisher at AZ Big Media.
“AZ Big Media has been a major factor in the success of businesses across the Valley and across the state and I am excited to be a part of this dynamic team,” she says. “I look forward to hitting the ground running and finding new and innovative ways to connect with our local businesses and to celebrate and spotlight their accomplishments.”
Lindsey is scheduled to start at AZ Big Media on May 11.
Born in Upstate New York, but raised in Arizona, Lindsey worked her way up to being the real estate brand sales manager at the Arizona Republic, where she was a two-time member of the President’s Club for Gannett.
“During my career, I’ve been given opportunities to work in various departments — from retail, special supplements, philanthropic, and real estate,” Lindsey says. “I was also a small business owner for several years and learned first-hand the daily struggles of owning a business. That experience has helped me to consult businesses with a true passion to helping them achieve their goals.”
In addition to her work with Gannett and Republic Media, Lindsey was general manager at Phoenix Auto Guide and was most recently the advertising director for the Phoenix Business Journal.
“I am very excited to welcome Amy as our new publisher,” says Mike Atkinson, AZ Big Media’s president and CEO. “We are experiencing tremendous growth in our digital products, events, and in our print publications. Amy brings a perfect combination of market knowledge, sales experience, and management expertise that will help lead AZ Big Media into the future.”
Lindsey says she is looking forward to writing the next chapter in her career with the 35-year-old media company.
“First and foremost, I look forward to working together as a team with that staff at AZ Big Media,” she says. “By working as one united team, AZ Big Media will find its success stories to be frequent, and our roads to victory still to be written.”
