DPR Construction taps Matthew Thrower to lead Arizona operations
DPR Construction, a forward-thinking, self-performing builder, announced Matthew Thrower as Arizona business unit leader. Thrower will oversee customer relationships, operations and teams across the state, guiding DPR’s business in one of the nation’s most active construction markets.
A construction industry veteran with experience spanning operations and workforce strategy, Thrower brings a broad perspective on what it takes to build high-performing teams and deliver successful projects with world-class customers. He has served in a variety of leadership roles since joining DPR’s Arizona business in 2018, ranging from business strategy and project delivery to talent development, connecting him to the people and projects that have driven the DPR’s success.

Phoenix Children’s appoints senior vice president
Phoenix Children’s today announced the appointment of Joshua D. Koch, MD, as Senior Vice President, Hospital Based In Chief, a newly established executive physician leadership role created to strengthen coordination across the health system’s hospital-based clinical services.
Reporting directly to Phoenix Children’s President & CEO John R. Nickens IV, Dr. Koch will have oversight of Critical Care, Neonatology and Fetal Care, Emergency Departments and Urgent Cares, Hospital Medicine, Radiology and Pathology.
“Dr. Koch is exactly the right person to lead this next chapter for our hospital-based services. He embodies the kind of leader we want to develop and elevate,” said Nickens. “This new role reflects how we’re investing in the future of Phoenix Children’s by strengthening physician leadership and ensuring our teams have the support they need to deliver the highest level of care.”
Dr. Koch previously served as co-director of the Center for Heart Care and division chief of both Cardiac Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He also served as chair of Phoenix Children’s Medical Group Governance Council and vice president of the medical staff, elected roles that reflect the deep trust he has earned among his physician peers and the respect he brings to complex, team-based care. Throughout his career, Dr. Koch has built nationally recognized programs, expanded multidisciplinary care teams, trained the next generation of critical care providers and advanced new approaches to caring for critically ill children.
His research and academic work have focused on neurologic outcomes, cardiac arrest prevention and post-cardiac arrest care, patient safety and team culture with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the World Journal for Pediatrics and Congenital Heart Surgery, and Cardiology in the Young.

Dr. Koch earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed his pediatric residency and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he served as both chief resident and chief fellow. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine and maintains academic appointments with Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine.
Partnership for Economic Innovation adds Catherine Côté to its board
The Partnership for Economic Innovation (PEI), a passionate collective of business and community leaders dedicated to accelerating Arizona’s economic opportunities, has appointed Catherine Côté, Vice President, Chief of Staff and Head of the Office of the CEO at onsemi, to its board of directors. Her hands-on experience shaping federal and global technology policy at one of Arizona’s leading semiconductor companies gives PEI a direct line to the expertise needed to advance Arizona’s position in the global innovation economy.
Côté succeeds Steven Gray, who recently retired from the PEI board after representing onsemi’s engagement across the organization’s strategic initiatives. Her appointment continues onsemi’s active partnership with PEI at a pivotal moment for Arizona’s semiconductor industry. The CHIPS and Science Act has directed billions of dollars in investment to Arizona’s semiconductor manufacturing sector, and PEI’s work to align workforce development, policy advocacy and infrastructure with the needs of the semiconductor industry makes Côté’s background a natural and timely addition to the board.
Côté’s expertise aligns directly with PEI’s 2026 priorities for the semiconductor and technology sector, which include advancing the federal Advanced Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit, developing K-12 STEM talent pipelines for semiconductor employers, and championing the regulatory and infrastructure policies that support Arizona’s growing role in domestic technology manufacturing.

Quarles adds high-profile litigator Dan Quigley to Phoenix office as partner

He has extensive experience successfully guiding clients through bench and jury trials and arbitrations.

Kiana Taie joins Stream Realty Partners
Stream Realty Partners, a national commercial real estate firm offering an integrated platform of services, has welcomed Kiana Taie as Vice President of Project Management in the firm’s Phoenix office. Taie joins Stream’s Project Management team, where she will lead the firm’s office project management services throughout the Phoenix market.
Taie brings more than a decade of experience spanning workplace design, operations leadership, business development, and project management. Throughout her career, she has partnered with occupiers, developers, property owners, and brokers to deliver first-class workplace environments that align business objectives with thoughtful design and seamless execution. Her background includes leading complex tenant improvement and workplace projects while overseeing operational performance, financial management, and client growth initiatives.
In her new role, Taie will work alongside Senior Director of Construction & Development David Kollar to deliver office project management assignments throughout the Phoenix market.
