Southwest Network promotes Dr. Nahid Nadiri
Southwest Network announced the promotion of Dr. Nahid Nadiri to Medical Director. In this capacity, Nadiri will provide oversight to the organization’s medical providers and ensure the highest quality psychiatric treatment for its approximate 10,000 adult and child/family members.
The role is also directly responsible for identifying clinical quality improvement activities and reducing any potential barriers to equitable care.
Over her tenure at Southwest Network, Nadiri has held key roles of Psychiatrist and later Chief Psychiatrist for the organization’s Saguaro location. In addition to her reputation for delivering highly individualized treatment that accelerates members’ recovery, she is known for her wisdom in guiding medical and clinical teams through complex cases and scenarios.
Valleywise Health CEO appointed to American Hospital Association board
The American Hospital Association (AHA) has elected Steve Purves, President and CEO of Valleywise Health, to its Board of Trustees for a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2023.
The Board of Trustees is the highest policymaking body of the AHA and has ultimate authority for the governance and management of its directions and finances.
“My election to the AHA Board of Trustees is a tremendous honor. I am very grateful for the support of the Valleywise Health Board of Directors and that of our senior leadership team in accepting this important appointment. I look forward to working with my fellow AHA members to address the many serious issues facing hospitals today,” Purves said.
Purves was one of six new Board members announced by the AHA today.
Sundt expands industrial proposal team
Sundt Construction recently hired Marilyn Schueppert, Dorene McLaughlin and Riann Darley to its Industrial Group’s proposal team.
“We are happy to welcome these three talented individuals to our proposal team,” said Brad Tackett, Sundt’s business development manager for its Industrial Group. “All of them will be great assets to the Group.”
Schueppert will serve as the proposal manager overseeing the team. She brings over fifteen years of proposal experience to her role. Most recently, she worked as a proposal writer and manager for another large commercial contractor. She holds an associate degree in technical writing and other industry certifications.
Both McLaughlin and Darley will join the team as proposal specialists. For over two decades, McLaughlin taught English in middle schools and high schools and earned a master’s degree in English from Northern Arizona University. Darley has been a freelance graphic designer for the past three years and holds a graphic design certificate from Sessions College.
Sundt’s Industrial Group is nationally ranked in water and wastewater treatment plant and sewerage and solid waste construction and is a leading semiconductor and manufacturing construction expert.
