UMB Bank, n.a., a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: UMBF), has announced several promotions and new hires to its team in Phoenix.
Frank Gorman and John Damiris have been promoted to commercial banking team leads, and Kevin Herbst was promoted to business banking team lead. Joseph Ponce has been hired as a private banking client manager. Alyssa Haney was hired as a commercial real estate portfolio manager, and Andrew Baccaro has been promoted to commercial portfolio manager.
“We continue to see growth in Arizona and believe that having associates like Frank, John, Kevin, Andrew, Alyssa and Joseph in place will only enhance that momentum,” said Jim Patterson, chairman and CEO of UMB Bank’s Arizona region. “With the growth in our leadership team, we will be able to enhance our ability to grow given our expanded presence and the talent obtained through the acquisition of Meridian Bank.”
Gorman has more than 31 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. In his role, he is responsible for leading a commercial banking team, developing business relationships and representing UMB in the community.
Damiris has more than 10 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. In his role, he is responsible for leading a commercial banking team, developing business relationships and representing UMB in the community.
Herbst has more than 21 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. In his role, he is responsible for managing existing client portfolios while leading the regional business banking team.
Ponce has more than seven years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. In his role, he is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients while providing financial solutions tailored to meet their goals. Prior to his role at UMB, he was a regional private banker at Wells Fargo Bank n.a.
Haney has more than five years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. In her new role, she will be responsible for underwriting commercial real estate loans and managing client portfolios. Prior to her role at UMB, she was a commercial real estate credit analyst at Vectra Bank Colorado.
Baccaro recently completed UMB’s commercial training program. In his new role, he will assist loan officers in portfolio management activities, perform credit-underwriting duties and monitor client portfolios.
