Bank of America Merrill Lynch named Vince Thelander as senior vice president and business banking market manager for the Desert Mountain States, which include Arizona, New Mexico and West Texas.
Thelander will be based in Phoenix, and he was senior vice president and senior client manager with Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Commercial Banking. He has experience managing banking relationships, debt capital and complex treasury solutions for Arizona companies with $5-50 million in revenue.
The Business Banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch serves nearly 40,000 mid-sized U.S. companies by delivering strategic financial advice and solutions to help companies grow, improve cash flow, manage U.S. and international payments, and invest for the future.
Thelander, an Arizona native, joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 1996 and holds a bachelor’s in Business Management from the W.P. Carey School of Business and Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.
He serves on the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Leadership Council and is Campus Chair for the Military Support & Assistance Group, an employee volunteer organization supporting active and former duty military service members and their families through a series of community activities.
In the community, he is a member of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council’s International Leadership Committee and the Working Board of Directors for the Metro Phoenix Export Alliance, an organization that helps metro Phoenix move to a more export-based economy.
Thelander is also on the Board of Directors for Arizona Town Hall, a non-profit organization that helps to solve Arizona’s greatest economic and social challenges through civil discourse, consensus building and community education.
