Lovitt & Touché, an Arizona-based independent insurance brokerage and benefits solutions provider, recently hired Will Spong as Senior Vice President of Employee Benefits and Scott Muzzy as Sales Executive.
The new hires come as the company bolsters its bench strength in numerous departments.

Both Spong and Muzzy will be based at the company’s Tempe office. Lovitt & Touché has an additional location in Tucson.
An industry veteran, Spong has more than 16 years of experience within the insurance industry, which spans both corporate and agency management. Active in both carrier and consultant distribution channels, Spong will oversee business development, with a focus on self-funding and employee communication platforms. Prior to joining Lovitt & Touché, Spong held a managerial role in the Phoenix office of a San Francisco-based Fortune 100 insurance company.
In addition to being licensed for Life and Health Insurance, Spong is also a Group Benefits Disability Specialist. He is an associate board member of The Care Fund and sits on the board of directors for the Arizona Leadership Foundation. Spong earned a Bachelor of Business with an emphasis in Marketing from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan.
Muzzy, a third-generation Arizona native, comes to Lovitt & Touché with more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry. With an in-depth understanding of the construction industry that comes from decades of working in sales and management for two national construction distribution companies, Muzzy is an exceptional relationship builder who will help his clients create a sound insurance program by implementing risk and claims management, cost containment and detailed structuring of policy form.
Muzzy is licensed for Property and Casualty, as well as Life and Health in Arizona. He is a member of the Arizona Utility Contractors Association, American Subcontractors Association and Arizona General Contractors Association. Muzzy holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Arizona.
