Johnson Carlier promoted Anthony Jeffers to vice president of project development. He formerly served as senior project manager. As vice president of project development, Jeffers is focusing on growing key market sectors.

During his 23 years in the construction and architectural industry, Jeffers has served on teams managing projects for a broad range of industries overseeing $150M in the construction of schools, 35 auto dealerships in Metror Phoenix and Las Vegas, as well as correctional facilities such as the San Tan Justice Courts in Chandler.

“Anthony Jeffers brings the type of expertise that develops from years of hands-on experience. He also brings a construction background in a variety of projects that serve our clients well,” said Chris Johnson, CEO of Johnson Carlier. “In addition, Anthony is a thoughtful strategist. He’s mapping key growth markets for the company that will propel us throughout this decade.”

Prior to Johnson Carlier, Jeffers served as a senior project manager at Adolfson & Peterson Construction where he was responsible for the simultaneous construction of eight Target stores valued at about $50M.

He also successfully delivered fast-track projects. In 90 days, Jeffers helped oversee the $7M construction of six charter school buildings – at two different East Valley sites – for the American Leadership Academy.

“I am excited to take on this new leadership role at Johnson Carlier. The company is quickly driving forward and poised for growth in key markets,” Jeffers said. “Johnson Carlier’s history as a family-operated business in the Valley for more than 90 years and its unique focus on the client’s needs makes it a rewarding place to work.”

Jeffers is involved with the Arizona Builders’ Alliance and graduated from the organization’s leadership development forum. He has also been active with Valley Partnership and NAIOP.

Jeffers is one of the technical qualifying parties for the firm’s contractor license in Nevada and Utah. The firm also is licensed in Arizona, Colorado and Texas.

Jeffers earned a bachelor’s in business management from the University of Phoenix and a master’s in construction management from Arizona State University. He is fluent in Danish after living in Denmark for two years to serve a church mission.

Jeffers and his family live in Gilbert.
