Karen Gaylord, a partner with Jennings, Haug & Cunningham’s environmental law services practice, was named to the Board of Directors of Audubon Arizona.

Gaylord’s practice is focused on environmental and natural resource matters. She counsels clients on environmental regulatory matters and assists in developing business strategies that capitalize on environmental opportunities or address regulatory challenges.

She also helps clients negotiate compliance agreements, and has worked extensively on water quality matters throughout Arizona.

The board of directors helps Audubon Arizona continue its mission centered on further building the Nina Mason Pulliam Audubon Center’s high-quality, science-based education programs.

The board also assists with other award-winning programs such as the Appleton-Whittell Research Ranch, River Pathways, the Arizona Important Bird Areas Program, the Urban Hummingbird Project, Birds ‘n Beer, and many others. Audubon Arizona’s mission is to connect people with nature.

Gaylord has received numerous professional recognitions, including being listed as a leading Arizona Environmental Lawyer in Chambers USA® from 2007 to 2012, listed in “The World’s Leading Environmental Lawyers®” by The International Who’s Who of Environmental Lawyers from 2010 to 2013, and listed in The Best Lawyers in America®, for Environmental Law from 2009-2013.
