Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Arizona Properties announced that its Team Santistevan has expanded to open its own office in the heart of Ahwatukee. The team’s new office is located at 15215 S. 48th Street, Suite 183.

Team Santistevan, one of the most successful residential real estate teams in Arizona, has been part of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices family for several years. UA College of Pharmacy appoints Dr. Wei Wang

The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy has appointed Wei Wang, PhD, as director of its drug discovery program and professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

In his new role, Dr. Wang is responsible for advancing the mission of drug discovery at the UA Health Sciences, main campus and the Phoenix Biomedical Campus. By uniting the UA’s state-of-the-art facilities, expertise and resources, he will help facilitate drug discovery and development while enhancing translational research collaboration.

Dr. Wang joins the college as it begins $26 million in construction on the Skaggs Pharmaceutical Sciences Center Sept. 4. The work is anticipated to take 16 months and includes 12,000 square feet of renovations and two new floors, providing an additional 21,000 square feet of drug discovery facilities.

Dr. C. Kent Kwoh named to prestigious committee

Kent Kwoh, MD, a professor of medicine and medical imaging at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, has been named to the prestigious Division Directors Special Committee for the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). His three-year term will commence in October.

The American College of Rheumatology is the world’s leading professional organization of rheumatologists and rheumatology health professionals. The ACR Division Directors Special Committee is charged with advancing academic rheumatology and rheumatology as a whole through support of clinical care, research, education and advocacy.

In addition to serving as chief of the UA Division of Rheumatology, Dr. Kwoh is director of the UA Arthritis Center and holder of the Charles A.L. and Suzanne M. Stephens Endowed Chair in Rheumatology at the UA.

CCS Presentation Systems appoints general manager

CCS Presentation Systems, one of the largest leaders in audio-visual integration across the United States, has promoted Victor Valliere to General Manager.

A 20-year veteran of the technology systems industry, Valliere was formerly vice president of logistics at CCS, appointed to the position just nine months ago, responsible for overseeing CCS’s high-voltage electrical and service departments as well as managing its warehouse. 

As General Manager, Valliere will oversee the day-to-day business operations of CCS Presentation Systems including integration, home automation, electrical, ecommerce, marketing, training and the CCS Tucson office.
