Sacks Tierney adds 2 attorneys
Attorneys Candace D. French (Indian Law) and Laura Morrison Trujillo (Estate Planning) have joined the Scottsdale law firm Sacks Tierney P.A.
Ms. French is a former staff attorney with the Navajo Nation Office of Legislative Counsel. She has more than ten years of experience working in Native American communities and is an enrolled member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes.
Ms. Trujillo is a Certified Estate & Trust Law Specialist (Arizona Board of Legal Specialization). Her practice encompasses estate planning, private foundations, tax planning, probate, guardianship and business law. She is an accredited attorney with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
JHC partner Karen Gaylord elected to ACOEL
Jennings Haug Cunningham announced that Karen S. Gaylord, a partner with the firm’s environmental practice, has been elected as Fellow with the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL).
The American College of Environmental Lawyers elected twenty-five new Fellows and one Honorary Fellow to membership in the College for 2019. Each individual was selected for their distinguished experience, high standards of practice and substantial contributions to the field of environmental law.

Rick St. John named Glendale’s interim deputy city manager
Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps has selected Rick St. John to be the interim deputy city manager over public safety. In his new role, St. John will
provide support for the Glendale Police Department, Glendale Fire Department, Emergency Management Services as well as the Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center (GRPSTC). Working closely with the chief of police and the fire chief, St. John will lead the city’s efforts to develop sustainable budgets for public safety, implement strategic planning initiatives and develop policies that protect lives and enhance the safety of the community.
“The most critical services in our city are focused around public safety and Rick St. John will be able to hit the ground running as a strong leader in this key position,” said Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps. “I am confident in Rick’s ability to bring sustainable, innovative ideas and solutions that will improve the community as he oversees Glendale’s comprehensive public safety efforts.”
Jaime Vidales named preconstruction manager

An Arizona native, Jaime began his construction career during his time at Arizona State University. He has served in the roles of Estimator, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and his current role as Preconstruction Manager. Jaime’s background in operations has prepared him well as he tackles challenging projects, which he enjoys.
