TCC Phoenix announces new hires and 2020 promotions

The Phoenix office of Trammell Crow Company has announced it has expanded its team with an internal promotion and two strategic hires. Stephen Krager has been promoted to Vice President and Vicente (Vince) Ruiz and Ashley Nye have joined the firm as Development Managers and will be responsible for the daily oversight of design and construction activity for various projects. 

Krager joined Trammell Crow Company in April 2015 and has successfully demonstrated his breadth of development management expertise across multiple property types including industrial, office, retail and multi-family.  Prior to joining the firm, Stephen spent 14 years as Principal of Euthenics Architecture and Interiors LLC, a full-service architecture and interiors design firm. In his new role as Vice President, he will lead the development management platform for the Phoenix office.

Vince Ruiz is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 13 years of experience in civil design and project management. Vince previously worked for notable civil engineering firms David Evans & Associates and Wood Patel on a variety of public and private projects providing best in class design solutions to challenging infrastructure issues on behalf of his clients. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University.

Ashley Nye has more than eight years of experience as a designer/project manager working in both Phoenix and Seattle, WA.  Prior to joining Trammell Crow Company, Ashley worked for notable firms Norris Design, Mithun and Smithgroup with an emphasis in landscape design and most recently as a Project Manager for Point B focusing on site acquisitions and due diligence, and managing design, permitting, scheduling and construction activity. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Arizona State University.

Sundt adds Teri Jones to board

The Sundt Companies has added Building Group President Teri Jones to its Board of Directors effective December 9, 2019. Jones, who has nearly 40 years of industry experience, was named President of the company’s Building Group in 2018.

“We’re very pleased to add Teri to the Board of Directors,” said President, CEO and Chairman of the Board G. Michael Hoover. “She brings a tremendous amount of expertise to this role and will be an excellent representative of our company’s four operating groups.”

Jones joined Sundt Construction in 2000 as a Principal in Charge for the Sacramento Region, and today she is the company’s highest-ranking female executive. In 2006 she was promoted to Business Development Manager for California, and in 2016 was promoted to Senior Vice President, Building Group Manager, a group that has flourished under her direction. Through Jones’s leadership the company’s building revenue has grown by over 50 percent. 

Jones is a LEED accredited professional, Certified Professional Constructor, a board member of the Performance Based Building Coalition (a public-private partnership industry group) and sits on the Construction Management Advisory Board of the University of California, Berkeley. She is also a guest lecturer at the University of California, Davis. She earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, building design from the University of Southern California.

Todd Severson named partner at Symmetry Companies

Luxury lifestyle community developer Symmetry Companies announces that Todd Severson has returned to the organization as partner.

In his new role, Severson will be focused on the acquisition of new resort, lifestyle and hospitality inspired projects as well as oversight of assets under management.

Severson brings a diverse, 15-year background in design, finance and development to the organization. In addition, his international development experience provides unique insights into creating exceptional destinations and meaningful experiences.

Most recently, Severson served as the director of acquisitions, entitlements and infrastructure at Discovery Land Company. While in this position, he was responsible for the acquisition, design, and development for numerous internationally recognized resort communities. They include Barbuda Ocean Club (Antigua & Barbuda); Playa Grande Golf & Ocean Club (Dominican Republic) as well as the acquisition of James Island (British Columbia, Canada).

Sagewood names Razdan to new position

Sagewood, a Life Plan Community featuring resort-like amenities focused on independence and well-being, has named Gina Razdan director of assisted living – memory care at Sagewood’s Acacia Health Center.

She brings more than 25 years of experience in various health care settings to Acacia Health Center at Sagewood. Razdan previously served as the assistant director of nursing and the director of assisted living and wellness at the Terraces of Phoenix.

“We are excited to have Gina join our team with her expertise,” said Natalie Miko, administrator of Acacia Health Center. “Her knowledge of the senior care industry will ensure superb outcomes with residents.”

Razdan became a registered nurse through Scottsdale Community College and earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Arizona State University. She also has her assisted living manager’s license.
