Sandi Perez, Delta Dental of Arizona Vice President of Communications & Community Benefit, has been selected as a 2015 Kids at Heart Award honoree by the Children’s Museum of Phoenix Board of Directors and gala committee. She will be honored at the upcoming Children’s Museum of Phoenix Havana Nights gala on Saturday, March 14, 2015.
Each year the Children’s Museum of Phoenix selects a community leader who has made Arizona a better place for children through his or her efforts to strengthen children’s learning through play and to invest in the enrichment of the lives of Arizona children. Past honorees include Tom Ambrose and Lisa Handley.
“Sandi’s work at the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation has helped get dental supplies and educational information into the hands of over 150,000 children and families through the Museum,” said Kate Wells, President and CEO of the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, “Her work, both personally and professionally, are shining examples of all the attributes our selection committee looks for in an honoree.”
In addition to being selected as a Kids at Heart honoree, Perez, a cancer survivor, was also recently chosen to participate in the Cancer Support Community of Arizona Sharing Our Beauty and Strength fashion show honoring those in the community who have been touched by cancer.
