LGE Design Build has recently hired Swen Anderson to serve as vice president of business development to grow the company’s relationships with current and potential clients, economic development officials and industry leaders.

Anderson also will cultivate projects in existing sectors such as healthcare, industrial/warehouse, office, medical, education restaurant and retail while helping LGE expand in the marketplace.

“Business development is a new position at LGE Design Build,” said Dave Sellers, LGE Design Build’s president. “Swen is the perfect leader for the role as he brings extensive commercial real estate experience in overseeing construction projects as a real estate development vice president and a construction superintendent. He understands our clients’ needs.”

During his 13 years in the real estate industry, Anderson successfully managed the construction and development of more than $150 million in residential and commercial assets. He is directly responsible for the sourcing and underwriting of more than $30 million, including debt and equity structures. In addition, he created and implemented strategic plans to expand market share, streamline operations and improve market impact.

Anderson was previously vice present of business planning and real estate development at Skyline Education where he worked with LGE from the perspective of a client. In 2012, LGE constructed Skyline Education’s $7 million Skyline Prep High School in Phoenix.

“I know first-hand that LGE provides seamless experiences for clients. The company’s expertise, frequent communication and unique design and building process with a single point of contact makes the firm top-notch in the industry,” Anderson said. “I’m honored to join LGE.”

In his Skyline Education role, Anderson was responsible for managing all phases of acquisition, development, capital sourcing, entitlements and construction management for projects. He oversaw the $22 million development of two schools, the repositioning and relocation of several facilities and building leases.

Anderson served in the United States Marine Corps and earned a Master of Real Estate Development and a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.

Anderson is involved with ASU’s Master of Real Estate Development Alumni organization as well as NAIOP, Valley Partnership and Arizona Builder’s Exchange.
