The president and senior executive office of Alliance Bank of Arizona’s Tucson operations retired at the end of March, according to an announcement from Western Alliance Bank.
Duane Froeschle retired from the bank on March 31, 2017 after a 15-year career with the organization. Since 2002, Froeschle has held multiple senior executive positions within Alliance Bank of Arizona and Western Alliance Bancorporation including his roles as chief credit officer and vice chairman.
“I am incredibly proud of my time at Alliance Bank and it has been an honor to serve within an organization that is truly a valued partner in the Arizona business community,” said Froeschle.
In addition to his work within the banking industry, Froeschle has been active in numerous civic and economic groups in Tucson including a position on the Board of Directors for Sun Corridor Inc.; member of the Southern Arizona Leadership Council; Co-Chair, financial and legal services, the Arizona-Mexico Commission, and member of the Transportation and Trade Corridor Alliance.
“Duane has played a significant role in the success and growth of Alliance Bank in Southern Arizona and beyond,” said Robert Sarver, Chairman and CEO of Western Alliance Bancorporation. “His contributions to our organization, the Tucson business community and the commercial banking industry as a whole have been incredibly valuable and we are very thankful for his years of service.”
The founding CEO of Alliance Bank of Arizona, James H. Lundy (Jim), also retired on March 31, 2017.
Don H. Garner, also a member of the organization’s original management team, became the new CEO of Alliance Bank of Arizona on Jan. 1, 2017. Ed Zito remains President of Alliance Bank of Arizona. Alliance Bank of Arizona’s Tucson offices will be led by local, committed expert bankers Reid Clark and Joseph Snapp.
