SerialTek, a provider of innovative data storage test tools and solutions since 2007, currently based in San Jose, has signed a lease for office space in Peoria.

Within the last year, a few of SerialTek’s engineers mentioned to the owners a desire to live and raise their families in a more affordable metro area such as Phoenix while keeping their current positions at the company. In order to make their employees happy, SerialTek responded by allowing those who wanted to move to Arizona the ability do so with the promise of keeping their current positions and a new local office space. Two engineers took up the offer and decided to move toArizona.

The west valley was the area of choice for the new office as both engineers were finding homes they liked in the area. Peoria, specifically, was the city of choice in the area due to its proximity to the Loop 101, its centrality to other west valley cities, and its ease of access to Sky Harbor.

The new office is at 8805 W. Union Hills Dr., Peoria, AZ 85382. The company will start off the four-year lease in the almost 2,000SF space employing the two relocating engineers with plans and space to hire more in the future. These are high-wage engineer positions which are the kind of jobs the City of Peoria has been targeting.

SerialTek currently works withArizona tech companies such as Intel in Chandler and IBM in Tucson.
