Elizabeth Arden Spas signed an 134-month, 13,021 SF lease at Tempe Gateway, 222 S. Mill Ave. in Downtown Tempe to serve as its retail operations hub for the U.S.

The Class A office building is owned by Gateway Tempe, LLC, a subsidiary of Vulcan, Inc., Microsoft President & CEO Paul Allen’s Seattle- based real estate investment and development company. The space will be on the second floor and brings occupancy of the building to over 80 percent.

Ken McQueen, Principal with Lee & Associates represented Elizabeth Arden; Phil Breidenbach and Lindsey Carlson of Colliers International represented Gateway Tempe, LLC.

“This was an excellent opportunity for an iconic brand-name company to be located in the center of a dynamic location such as this,” McQueen said. “They are committed long-term to the Tempe market and feel Mill Avenue offered the economics and amenities they desired,” he added.

The Downtown Tempe Class A market has seen much activity over the past year including talk of a new office tower at Hayden Ferry Lakeside. The area features strong amenities unparalleled in the Valley such as freeway, light rail and numerous ground transportation options.

Tempe Gateway features excellent views of the city and Tempe Town Lake and is in close proximity Downtown Tempe’s Mill Ave. District and to Sky Harbor International Airport.
