Recently, National Geographic ran a feature on the world population. Specifically, the fact that by the end of 2011 there will be 7 billion people in the world. To put that in perspective, you could walk around the world 133 times in 7 billion steps. And if 7 billion people isn’t daunting enough, it is projected that by 2045 there will be 9 billion people on the planet.
