Sierra Tucson, appointed Gayle Masterson, MD, as the director of its residential Eating Recovery Program.

Masterson employs and evidence-based approach to her patients while providing the best possible care. She brings 17 years of psychiatry and eating disorder experience.

“I strive to achieve patient wellness and satisfaction through education, healing and compassion,” Masterson said.

Masterson earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, and a doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Prior to joining Sierra Tucson, Masterson worked at Mirasol, Pima County Jail, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Active Duty Mental Health Services Clinic and HOPE, Inc., as well as several contracted positions.
