Ajitav Mick Misra has joined The Frutkin Law Firm as senior counsel. His practice focuses on corporate and business law, tax law and renewable energy.
Most recently, he was the general counsel of a hedge fund focused on renewable energy investments. Prior to this role, he was a finance executive at an energy company as well as a tax and business law attorney at top firms throughout the country.
“Mick brings a strong understanding of the commercial needs of his clients to the practice of law,” says Principal Jonathan Frutkin.
In the fields of corporate and business law, Misra has advised clients on the formation, purchases, sales and financings of businesses and their entities, culminating in the closing of dozens of business transactions. In the area of corporate and tax law, his work has resulted in the closings of approximately $650 million in project financing for renewable energy projects and $350 million in merger and acquisition transactions. Finally, he has advised individuals and businesses in the tax ramifications of business deals for domestic and international projects for more than 12 years.

Misra holds a B.A. from Pomona College in philosophy, politics, and economics with a concentration in economics, a J.D. from Georgetown Law and an MBA from UCLA. He has received several academic distinctions and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
