Wendy Odom, CEO, ADM Group
Background: As CEO of ADM Group, Odom brings more than 25 years of experience leading teams and managing projects across architecture, interior design and education. A native of Arizona, she graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University’s College of Architecture with a bachelor of science in design.
Advice to younger self: “If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be that building a meaningful career takes hard work and periods of deep focus, but it should also include intentional time for the people who matter most. I have learned that while early sacrifices in education and career can open doors to greater stability and freedom later in life, balance still matters throughout the journey. It is OK not to pursue perfection in every phase of life, to take time for myself, to be present with family and to release the pressure of always meeting every demand flawlessly.”
Surprising fact: “A surprising fact about me is that my career path includes 8 years in full-time ministry as a director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry. While it may seem like a departure from design, that experience deeply shaped my leadership style and perspective. It strengthened my ability to connect with people, lead with empathy, and create environments that truly support community; skills that continue to influence my work in design today.”
