LAVIDGE
Most Admired Company: 2016-2019, 2021
Top Arizona executive: Bill Lavidge, CEO
What it does: Full-service advertising, marketing, and digital agency.
Company profile: LAVIDGE has been an active part of the Phoenix community since 1982 when Bill Lavidge officially founded what today is a full-service advertising, marketing, and digital agency. LAVIDGE has been 49% employee owned since organizing as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2017, which means every client gets to speak with an owner. Every time. LAVIDGE’s clients—in healthcare, real estate, education, technology, sports marketing, personal care, food service, and other public and private industries—count on LAVIDGE to make a difference. From brand awareness to lead generation and improved sales, to positioning them as thought leaders and enhancing perceptions, it’s what LAVIDGE does. All the while, LAVIDGE makes an active effort to make a difference within the world, and most especially the communities where it serves.
Admirable trait: The pandemic of 2020 changed LAVIDGE’s workplace from being remote one day per week to fully remote for a significant portion of its employees. This presented the challenge of changing things up without losing the company’s deeply embedded culture of maintaining fun in the mix. LAVIDGE’s Engagement and Fun committees excelled at finding creative ways for employees to connect remotely throughout the year. For example, catered staff meetings became video conferences with gift cards from GrubHub.
