Community impact: “HERO” is a team, member-based volunteer program that enables Harrah’s staff and their families to make noteworthy and visible contributions to the community by donating their time, skills, expertise and compassion to dozens of volunteer projects throughout the community. Last year, The Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino HERO committee donated more than $27,300 worth of in-kind certificates and $53,670 in cash.

Innovation: Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is part of Clean the World, a global health initiative committed to improving the quality of life for vulnerable communities. As part of the effort, the property recycles all soap in an effort to distribute it to underserved communities, preventing unnecessary deaths from hygiene-related diseases.
