Professional advice: “I have three key pieces of advice: First, there will be times when you are too much for some people and not enough for others. That’s okay — just stay true to YOU. Second, feedback is a gift. Take it, learn from it, but don’t let it define you. Trust your instincts. Finally, be courageous! Apply for that promotion, even if you don’t feel 100 percent ready, when you get the job you can learn it as you go.”
Lesson learned in 2020: “Share your vision and story with passion. Collaborate — when teams work together toward common goals, great things happen. Be authentic. It’s easy to focus on big initiatives, but don’t forget the human element. Little gestures — sending birthday cards, handwritten notes or flowers to say thank you — make the biggest difference.”
Surprising fact: “In my younger years, I was always after the next adrenaline rush. I have been sky diving, hang gliding, zip lining, deep sea diving, rock climbing and bungee jumping.”
