Today’s spotlight: Kris Yamano

Yamano has helped lead her teams in providing high-net-worth families, businesses and charitable organizations with customized wealth services. She serves on the Executive Committees for both the Board of the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation and Arizona Council on Economic Education.

Lesson learned in 2020: “The pandemic underscored the importance of flexibility, empathy and communication. Being willing to adapt is imperative, and it’s essential to have frequent and open dialogue with both clients and team members to understand their needs. These things continue to be especially valuable as we transition to a new environment.”

Source of pride: “Getting to shape the culture of wealth planning in a meaningful way is so rewarding. We didn’t have processes or best practices cemented when I joined (my previous) team; building both from the ground up and providing strategic vision was exciting. I love seeing the impact of my contributions.”

Surprising fact: “My first job was a cast member on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland. Being behind the curtain was no less magical than visiting the park. I loved feeling part of a big secret and enjoy returning to the ‘happiest place on Earth’ as often as possible.”
