BOMA Greater Phoenix elects new officers, board for 2020
BOMA Greater Phoenix, the industry group that advances the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, influence, and knowledge, elected its 2020 officers and board members via paper ballots at the recent annual meeting.
Robert Vincent, RPA, Cordia Capital Management, was elected President. He is joined by Vice President Michael Chadwick, ViaWest Group; Secretary/Treasurer Marty Brook, CPM, R.E., Metro Commercial Properties; and Allied Chair Chris Gannon, Transcend Security Solutions.
“I’m so proud to have this opportunity to humbly serve BOMA Phoenix again as your President for 2020,” Vincent said. “I’m honored and humbled to serve this great organization and to deliver measurable results for our membership. I’m looking forward to continue raising the bar of excellence, integrity and accountability. I challenge each member to be a part of something bigger than themselves and to invest into an organization that has a return on investment of more than mere dollars.
“It’s been said that commercial real estate is all about relationships. At BOMA Phoenix, relationships are established over long term among industry professionals,” Vincent said.
Board members for 2020: Patti Brown CPM, RPA, Ryan Companies; Dan Porter, Paragon Services; Kathryn Rhinehart, CPM, RPA, LEED, Southwest Davis Management; Gilbert Romero, Transwestern; Melissa Scott, CMCA, AMS, Sunbelt Holdings; and Nate Williams, Pro-Serv Commercial Cleaning. The board will elect its governor.
Russ Lyon Sotheby’s agents elected to SAAR board
Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty agents Lisa Roberts and Angela Zampino have been elected to seats on the Board of Directors of the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors (SAAR).
Both Zampino and Roberts are based in Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty’s Camelback Tower offices in Scottsdale. They have been elected to a two-year term that starts December 1st.
“I am excited to join the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors board. The group is important to our industry and the Scottsdale community through its continuing education programs, networking, outreach and advocacy programs,” said Lisa Roberts, who has closed more than 300 sales totaling close to $200 million. She specializes in luxury homes the Scottsdale zip codes of 85259 and 85260.
SAAR represents more than 8,500 Realtors and 350 affiliate members. It serves as the ‘Voice of Real Estate’ in Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Carefree, Cave Creek and the Northeast Valley.
“Our jobs as Realtors is to help our clients reach achieve their goals. That is the ultimate priority at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. I hope to bring that ‘client first’ philosophy and focus to further enhance SAAR’s great programs and outreach,” said Angela Zampino, who specializes in luxury listings in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek and Carefree.
New law clerk at MacQueen & Gottlieb
MacQueen & Gottlieb, PLC (M&G) today announced the hiring of the firm’s newest law clerk, Sarah Sladick. Sladick is a second-year student in the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where her 3.58 GPA ranks her in in the top 20 percent of her class.
Sladick is an Associate Editor of the school’s Corporate and Business Law Journal; was named a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar for Spring 2019; a member of the Women Law Students Association; and an ASU Law Ambassador.
She served a legal internship with Fox Restaurant Concepts in Phoenix and also as a summer associate at Sirote & Permutt in her hometown of Birmingham, AL. She also was a paid intern for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign in the winter of 2016
Sladick earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Alabama-Birmingham in May 2018, with minors in Legal Affairs and Anthropology. She was a member of the UAB Honors College; a recipient of the Honors College Enrichment Fund for Education Abroad; and a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and the Delta Gamma Fraternity where she served as recruitment director.
