September is Hunger Action Month and United Food Bank recognized the Arizona businesses and corporate partners who have supported the Mesa-based food bank throughout its 40 years of providing food to Arizonans impacted by food insecurity. United Food Bank created the Million Meals Club in honor of its 40th anniversary and all the partners who have helped Arizonans, that don’t know where their next meal will come from, receive access to nutritional and nourishable food.

The Million Meals Club recognizes 23 benevolent entities who have each donated the monetary equivalent of at least one million meals. To celebrate this remarkable accomplishment, United Food Bank visited all of the organizations at their workplace and presented them with the Million Meals Club recipient award. After the award presentation, photos were taken with the staff and leadership team, as well as the community engagement managers.
These organizations continue to go above and beyond in their contributions and support in helping Arizonans struggling from food insecurity. In addition to monetary support, many of these organizations have also donated their time to volunteer at United Food Bank and build emergency food bags. Several have also been involved with the food bank by hosting food drives to increase the amount of food available to Arizonans in need.
“The Million Meals Club is a testament to compassionate organizations making a significant impact in our communities,” said Jason Reed, CEO of United Food Bank. “We appreciate their dedication to hunger relief, recognizing the profound positive impact on individuals and families facing food insecurity.”
