Two new tenants will call Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale home in the coming weeks including Chipotle, opening a 2,550 SF restaurant in 1Q 2013, and The Arizona Republic, which will re-locate its West Valley offices after the first of the year.
Additionally, improvements have been completed on two common areas at Westgate including the west office hardscape entry area as well as new synthetic turf at Fountain Park that’s more conducive to the daily events and activities taking place there, while also being eco-friendly.
“We’ve experienced increased momentum in our leasing efforts at Westgate,” said Jeff Teetsel, development manager of Westgate Entertainment District. “The brokerage and tenant community is responding favorably to iStar’s new investment in improvements, the increase in events and activities on-property and the additional traffic and synergies with the opening of Tanger Outlets Westgate.
“We are excited to welcome Chipotle, who we specifically targeted because of its best-in-class status, and it’s an illustration of the merchant mix plan we are implementing.”
Additional new tenant announcements are expected to be released in early 2013.
Westgate Entertainment District’s retail space is 70% leased and encompasses more than 30 restaurants, retailers and entertainment venues including Yard House, The Shout! House, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, Johnny Rockets, Which Wich and the state’s largest AMC Theatres, featuring 20 screens and IMAX.
