Gypsy Cup, an artful coffee and cocktail bar located in Downtown Gilbert, Arizona, transports its patrons to a French street cafe. The natural light pouring in during the day leaves guests feeling light and refreshed, while the glowing light through the evening gives a more posh experience to enjoy with a cocktail. With luxe textures throughout, walls adorned with an elevated collection of art, and custom tile arrangements, brass lighting, and quad banquettes, this local coffee shop serves the community from day to night.

The design team was tasked with creating a concept to tie in the client’s worldly travels, with a nod to their favorite parts of Europe, transporting guests to a streetside cafe. The space includes luxe textures like brass, marble, and deep velvets that compliment the owner’s art collection adorning the surrounding walls. The black and white tile pattern surrounds the wood-look flooring, acting as a visual guide to carry guests from the front door to the back bar.
The custom banquettes were not only a functional solution for a narrow space, but also provide a statement piece to compliment the light fixtures above. The globe fixtures throughout are an ode to European street lights, celebrating a French-style plaza. This space is elegant, refined and luxe, while also being inviting and comforting.
