Every year, St. Patrick’s Day is a time of great celebration. Dressed in green and filled with energy people celebrate this Irish holiday all around the world, feasting and honoring the late great St. Patrick and Ireland itself. What was once just a feast is now an all-around party where people often come together to share green beer, corned beef and cabbage and a lot of good times. If you need an idea of how to celebrate celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Metro Phoenix, events are happening all over the Valley, so you can find the perfect way to celebrate. 

1. St. Patty’s Day Faire and Parade  

Why not get in the spirit early? The 40th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family.  Irish traditions will be highlighted in the parade with marching bands, Irish dancers and bag pipers. At the faire, expect a whole host of food from traditional corned beef and cabbage to more diverse options from many local vendors. For the lucky 21+ crowd, Irish beer and Buskers Irish Whiskey will be served at bars throughout. Don’t worry if you miss the parade, plenty of entertainment will be available throughout the day.

2. Find a great Irish Pub for St. Patrick’s Day in Phoenix

Nearly every Irish pub around The Valley will be decked out in green celebrating with menu specials and events. There are lots of great places to check out including but not limited to Dubliner Irish Pub & Restaurant, Seamus McCaffrey’s Irish Pub and Tim Finnegan’s Irish Restaurant & Pub. Any one of these places or others throughout The Valley would be the perfect place to let your Irish spirit shine on St. Patrick’s Day in Phoenix.

3. Hit a bunch of them at the Phoenix Official St. Patty’s Day Bar Crawl 

Who can choose just one bar to hit up? Phoenix Bar Crawls understands the struggle and has organized a night of all the best bars in Phoenix. Arrive decked out in green and receive a wristband, free entry into each venue, drink specials and more. Don’t forget to post photos on social media throughout the night for the opportunity to win cash and prizes for the best photos and get ready to party.

4. Black Hole Concert at Westgate Entertainment District 

Support a local blues trio as they take the stage at for Live Music at Fountain Park. The band formed locally in 2012 and has now performed all around the world. Restaurants around Westgate make it easy to get some food and relax while soaking in the music from this iconic Phoenix trio.

5. St. Patrick’s Day Goat Yoga 

Start your holiday morning off right with baby goats and alpacas dressed to impress in all their green gear. Join them for a relaxing yoga class and a fun photo opportunity. The specially trained goats will interact with yogis throughout the basic class. Keep an eye out for Maisy the cow coming by to offer some motivation and hugs.

6. Bowl at Mavrix 

Head over to Mavrix in Scottsdale for bowling, beer and a special themed menu. The lanes will be shining in green Irish spirit backed up by Irish music. The specialty menu will include Irish nachos, shamrock pizza and corned beef and cabbage as well as $4 green beer and $4 Jameson Orange shots for the 21+ attendees. It will be a night of good old-fashioned fun.

7. Kart Racing at Octane Raceway 

Are you in need of a thrill this St. Patty’s Day? Octane Raceway has just the ticket. Kart racing on a 1/3 mile track in karts that travel up to 45 miles per hour. When not racing enjoy the full arcade, virtual reality game and axe throwing. For those 21+, it wouldn’t be a holiday without $4 green beer and $4 Jameson Orange shots.

8. Rooster’s St. Patty’s Day Bash 

Enjoy St. Patrick’s Day in Phoenix with a night of food, drinks music and fun at Rooster’s 9th annual St. Patty’s Day Bash. Start the night off with an early catered corned beef and cabbage dinner and delicious drinks like Irish whiskey. Then, jump on stage to show off in karaoke, and end the night rocking out to The Highway 260 Band. This big bash will be a night to remember.

9. St. Patty’s Day Meet Up Run Phoenix 

Take part in “the greenest run of the year” celebrating the luck of the Irish with a 5k, 10k or half-marathon race. All ages and abilities are welcome, so whether you are running or walking enjoy a fun morning of exercise with friends, family and exercise fanatics alike. Registration fees include a themed swag bag with a moisture wicking shirt, sport drawstring bag, access to an online community of fellow runners and a medal for all the hard work.

10. The Chunky and Loafer Experience at Gallagher’s 

More music, more fun and more corned beef and cabbage this year at Gallagher’s Sports Grill. Regular performers on the patio, The Chunky and Loafer Experience will be rocking the house once again. This local band will provide the perfect background music for a nice relaxing holiday while Gallagher’s provides a scrumptious meal and ice cold drinks.
