Valley Coffee Company
Valley Coffee is an artsy local staple. Local art hangs on the walls, and the menu includes unique offerings such as turmeric lattes and black mango teas. Valley Coffee offers a wide range of food options as well, including tamales and ice cream. Open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, the cafe’s modern design is a favorite of Downtown Phoenicians.
Fillmore Coffee Co.
Located below the Skyline Lofts, Fillmore Coffee offers a full range of coffees and teas, as well as a lunch menu. The wraps, specifically the Caesar salad wrap, is always a customer favorite. The shop is popular with ASU Downtown students, as it is just a short walk from the campus. Open from 7 a.m. to early afternoon, this spot is sure to please visitors or residents of Downtown Phoenix.
Cartel Coffee Lab
Cartel Coffee Lab has locations around the Valley and one location in California, but it is a staple of the central area of Downtown Phoenix. With unique offerings such as espresso lemonade and pomegranate ginger tonic, Cartel is the spot to grab a quick coffee, or enjoy its seating variety with the usual laptop-and-charger combination. Open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kahvi Coffee + Cafe
Erin Westgate, owner of Songbird, once listed Kahvi as her go-to local coffee shop. Open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., this location is just on the border of Downtown Phoenix. Not just a cafe, Kahvi serves spirits and food. Serving everything from prickly pear black tea to a lox bagel, Kahvi has plenty of offerings for every occasion.
