For the second consecutive year, Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia has been awarded the Golf Endorsed by Members (GEM) award by the Arizona Women’s Golf Association (AWGA).
Recognition for the GEM award is based on a AWGA member survey that evaluates experiences at golf courses and clubs throughout Arizona for the best places to play in Arizona from a women’s perspective and provides feedback for golf course owners as a resource for learning female golfer preferences.
Blackstone Country Club received the AWGA golf award based specifically on criteria including customer service, merchandise availability, food and beverage, clubhouse and facilities, and course conditions.
Situated in the heart of the private, guard-gated community of Blackstone at Vistancia, Blackstone Country Club offers one-of-a-kind experiences and resort-style amenities for every member of the family and features a pristine natural desert backdrop, spectacular mountain vistas, and gently sloped hills surrounded by boundless desert beauty.
The Blackstone Country Club’s 7,089-yard course layout was designed by highly regarded Jim Engh, Golf Digest’s first “Architect of the Year” and four-time Golf Digest national award winner. Inspired by the courses in Ireland, the course features deep chiseled channels with sheer rock faces and a series of black volcanic stones dotted along the magnificent desert golf layout.
The Hacienda-styled, 30,000-square-foot Blackstone clubhouse was designed by renowned Scottsdale architect, Bing Hu of H&S International. The club blends natural materials and historic architecture of the southwest with contemporary design elements of exposed wood beams, brick, stone and stucco creating a natural, Old World atmosphere with casual elegance.
Blackstone Country Club is located in Peoria and set amongst a stunning backdrop of mountain ranges featuring dramatic views of White Peak, Twin Buttes and the Bradshaw Mountains. Take Loop 303 to the Lone Mountain Parkway (exit 127).
