The inventive team behind Arizona’s ever-popular Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Neighborhood Burger Joint, announces the opening of Cold Beers & Pizza, Local Pizza Joint, coming to Old Town Scottsdale this December.

The 3,300 square foot spot at 4222 N Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251, with a lively patio as well, sits on the city’s main thoroughfare and next door to its popular sister brand, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers.

Square One Concepts Founder & CEO, S. Barrett Rinzler, said: “It’s a challenging time for all of us in the restaurant industry.  But the way we see it, we’ve got to keep living and doing things for the future.  This seemed like a natural next step.  We now know how to cope with the ‘new normal,’ so we feel confident that we can open a new concept and continue the very best health practices per CDC and Arizona guidelines, for our customers and our staff.

COLD BEERS & PIZZA MENU.  Cold Beers & Pizza offers an extensive menu, and, true to its name, a taphouse-worthy 50-plus beers — in bottles and cans with no fewer than 20 beers on tap.  Two pizza styles are the stars of this show: what Rinzler describes as a “Midwest Thin Crust” and a hand-tossed “Neapolitan Style.”  The extensive menu offers a variety of pizza options including BYOP (build your own pizza). For example, a traditional Godfather with pepperoni, sausage, onions and oregano; and the Flagstaff with spinach, roasted garlic, mushroom, tomato and olives are among Midwest Thin Crust options.  In the Neapolitan Style comes the classic Margherita; a Wiseguy red pizza with soppressata, basil and mozzarella; a Scampi white pizza with shrimp, garlic sauce, spinach and basil; and another sans-red option Broccoli Aglio e Olio with chopped garlic, broccoli florets, Pecorino Romano, basil and mozzarella.     Gluten free and cauliflower crusts are in the works.

Pasta dishes are also on this menu: a traditional Spaghetti & Meatballs and Fettuccini Alfredo, among others. Appetizers such as Fried Brussels SproutsMeatballsCaprese Skewers, and salads along with “Hand Helds” or sandwiches include Meatball or Italian hoagies, and a Chicken Parm, among others.

Dessert comes in the way of delightful cannolis and a skillet cookie.

STYLE & INTERIORS. Cold Beers & Pizza will have walk-up style ordering with waitstaff available to serve beverages as guests dine as well.  And, again, true to the relaxed, casual vibe of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, this sister eatery also features red accent walls, tables and booths, albeit with fewer TV monitors – approximately 25 instead of the typical 50-plus of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers.
