The Arizona Diamondbacks unveiled their new food offerings, special events, improvements and giveaways during a Pepsi-sponsored March 17 press conference — less than two weeks before baseball’s holy day, opening day.

We all know games are all about food. Each season, Chase Field Senior Executive Chef Stephen Tilder vows to hit a home run with his menu lineup. This year is no different.

“I’ve always said your ballpark concessions or your stadium concessions are only as good as your general manager and your chef,” said Derrick Hall, the D-backs’ CEO, president and general partner.

“We have two of the best, not only in the game, but in all the sports and all the venues. Chef Tilder is as creative as they come. He’s become a celebrity in his own right. He’s a good friend and a good man.”

Here is this year’s lineup:

Burnt‑end brisket and a massive Barbecue Brigade stuffed potato, loaded with pulled pork, ribs, mac and cheese, and house‑pickled onions.

Loaded mac and cheese bowls, including a chopped brisket Philly with habanero cheese sauce.

Burrito bowls — including a vegan option made with plant‑based chorizo.

Hand‑dipped foot‑long corn dogs, with flavors like street corn and chili cheese.

A classic pastrami sandwich stacked 6 ounces high.

The Big Bella, a modern Italian sandwich with pistachio cream, mortadella, and fresh mozzarella.

And the showstopper: the 50/50 Stretch, a 20‑inch baguette split between chicken parm and hot pastrami, served in a custom carrier.

“Each season we challenge ourselves to make Chase Field a little better for our fans,” Hall said.

The value item program returns for the 18th year with soda, peanuts, hot dogs and popcorn for $2.99. Beer is available for $4.99.

Chase Field has added chili cheese fries, parmesan ranch fries and hand-breaded chicken tender wraps to the budget-friendly menu that starts at $7.99.

“We’re proud that fans can still find some of the best values in Major League Baseball right here at Chase Field,” Hall said.

“Fans can find value items at concessions throughout the ballpark.”

Major improvements were made to the stadium The Diamondbacks repaired the long-hampered roof cable. The D-backs upped their game for a third season with a new scoreboard — the largest video display in Arizona and among the 10 largest displays in the MLB.

The 9,600-square-foot scoreboard, installed in partnership with Daktronics during the offseason, towers over center field at 63 feet high and 152 feet wide. The display also features variable content zoning, allowing the Diamondbacks to present a single immersive image or divide the screen into multiple zones showing live video, real-time statistics, graphics, animations and sponsor messaging.

Along with a trio of ribbon boards — the modernization of the suite level board and installation of two new boards along the press box and the upper deck — the upgrades bring the Diamondbacks’ total digital signage to more than 21,000 square feet.

“Our goal is always to make Chase Field one of the most exciting places in baseball to watch a game,” Hall said. “The new scoreboard and ribbon boards are a big, continued step forward in recent enhancements, coupled with the lights and audio upgrades for the 2024 season, as we continue elevating the fan experience and building Chase Field into a must-visit destination for baseball fans for decades to come.”

On March 26, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation is launching a new fundraising license plate, available for $25 at MVD. The foundation helps support youth baseball and softball programs across Arizona.

“Please take part in that and help us spread the word on that new license plate,” Hall said.

The 2026 season marks the 25th anniversary of the Diamondbacks’ 2001 World Series championship. The team will be honored throughout the season, culminating in a Saturday, Sept. 19, celebration against — “appropriately,” Hall said — the New York Yankees.

“The evening will feature a pregame reunion with members of the 2001 team, a throwback replica jersey giveaway and special tributes,” Hall said.

World Series hero Luis Gonzalez did his “Vanna White thing,” telling stories about the championship team’s camaraderie and introducing the food offerings.

“We continue to have a group chat,” Gonzalez said, “We’re a very tight-knit bunch of guys. Everyone is super excited to come back here to be a part of the celebration.

“Of course, we’re going to miss a couple of players, like Craig Counsell, who obviously has other work, managing the Chicago Cubs. I would say 90% of the guys are all going to be here.”

Hall said excitement is building for the 2026 season.

“We will have a full opening week celebration here at the ballpark,” he said. “Our opening home stand is going to feature post-game fireworks on Friday night; a post-game concert on Saturday, and a number of fan promotions to celebrate the start of another season together.”

The giveaways include the Ketel Marte T-shirt on April 18, Gabriel Moreno Mandalorian bobblehead on May 9, Corbin Carroll mystery bobblehead on June 6, and Gabriel Moreno soccer jersey on June 20. Geraldo Perdomo will be honored with a bobblehead on July 18.

“I’m glad we didn’t make that an audio bobble after he was called out on the third strike the other night,” Hall said, referring to the Dominican Republic-United States baseball game on March 15.

“That would have been for adults only.”

The D-backs will give away Merrill Kelly’s first bobblehead on Sept. 12. A Serpientes replica jersey giveaway is set for May 23, and a haboob globe on Aug. 22. Celebrate Mother’s Day with a May 10 jersey giveaway and family photo on the field.

The dads aren’t left out, as on June 21, they can vie for a polo shirt giveaway and play catch on the field.

Independence Day will be celebrated with fireworks displays on July 3 and July 4. Hall explained that 22 events are slated for the 2026 season to celebrate the heritage of many communities around the state.

Other giveaways feature Hello Kitty, Pokémon Go, and Harry Potter Night. April 4, the All-American Rejects will headline a free post-game concert series.
