The Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum (CAFAM) combines learning about the past with enjoying the artifacts that only this museum can provide to its visitors. Fly high in the Arizona sky exploring sites that only a bird’s-eye-view can provide you with. With exploring the skies in various WWII bombers, to keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground, the CAFAM provides you with a community of people who live and breathe the history of the planes and artifacts.

A sample of the CAFAM museum exhibits include a section honoring the fallen of WWI and WWII cemeteries, a Tuskegee Airmen exhibit, a Chow Hound Exhibit and an enemy artifacts exhibit.

Want to get the community involved? The Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum offers community programs that allow you to participate in unbelievable experiences. The docent-guided tours are for groups comprised of eight or more adults (at a discount price) as well as to school children/organized youth groups for ages eight and older.

Another service available is a free-of-charge public speaker who can be hired to speak at your events. The Arizona Wing will provide your event with a volunteer who will discuss the goals, history and object of the museum with a PowerPoint presentation that takes about 20 minutes.

A more festive event is the Holiday Pancake Breakfast and Toy Drive where Santa and the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum collect toys for children in need and serve pancakes for breakfast. This event typically is held during early December, with free admission with each donation of an unwrapped toy or a $1 off admission for donating a canned food item. Santa even arrives by vintage warbird to greet everyone!

Summer hours of operation include Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. from June through September. Hours are subject to change due to special events, facility rentals, etc.

Admission for kids ages 13 years old and up is $10, and kids between the ages of five and 12 are $3. For seniors 62 years old and older, admission is $9. Children under 5 years old are always free.

From warbird rides, tours, and even aircraft displays, experience these planes first-hand or admire them from the ground.
