Blackstone Country Club host World Golf qualifying event
Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia, located within the 7,100-acre Vistancia master plan in Peoria, will host the local qualifying event for the World Golf Scramble with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., June 12 to earn an invitation to compete in the World Championships in Las Vegas Aug. 10-12.
The World Golf Scramble is a two- or four-person competition where amateur golfers from around the world are competing in 130 local qualifying events, as an attempt to earn an invitation to compete in the World Championships. The grand prize from the progressive purse is estimated at $30,000 in the World Finals.
Blackstone Country Club is Arizona’s only private golf club participating in the World Golf Scramble qualifying event.
Cost for tournament play at the four-time Golf Digest award-winning private Blackstone Country Club is $130 per player. The entry fee includes golf carts, greens fees, range balls, a $20 credit to World Golf Skills Handicap, and a year-long subscription to Golf Digest. Top finishers will receive an invitation to compete at the World Championships in Las Vegas. Teams advancing to the World Finals will be guaranteed a payout from the progressive purse.
A deposit is required for tournament play. Participants must have an active amateur golf status. Professional golfers are not permitted to play.
