Jean Luc Ponty will bring his violin to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts for a jazz performance on Friday, June 9.

Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $35 to $75. Doors for the show will open at 7 p.m. and it will begin at 8 p.m.

Ponty was born in France in 1942 and released his debut jazz album in 1964 at the age of 22. Over the years, he has collaborated with the likes of Frank Zappa and Elton John.

His most recent album is “Better Late than Never” which was released in 2015.
