Old and new fans of Lego rejoice. Legoland Discovery Center Arizona is slated to open Friday, April 22 in Tempe’s Arizona Mills mall, and tickets are officially on sale for the interactive attraction boasting two Lego rides, a 4D Cinema, a large, soft play area and an assortment of massive, Arizona-specific models and renderings.
The $12-million, 40,000 square-foot Lego indoor playground is the first of its kind to open in Arizona, giving guests unprecedented access to hands-on activities, festive party rooms and a particularly impressive Miniland area featuring renderings of some of the state’s most notable landmarks.
“One of the most endearing things about Lego bricks is their multigenerational appeal, and we’ve worked to create something for folks of all ages to enjoy at Legoland Discovery Center Arizona,” said Joanna Hobday, general manager at Legoland Discovery Center Arizona. “We’re excited to, at long last, open our doors to the public and show our guests everything that’s been going on behind the scenes.”
Tickets start at $22 (toddlers 2 and under are free), and they can be purchased now to ensure entry when the attraction opens.
Guests may also choose from two “Combination Experience” packages, which offer entry into both Legoland Discovery Center Arizona and Sea Life Arizona Aquarium.
