Back by popular demand, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame trio ZZ Top will perform their classic rock songs, infused with Texas blues, live at the pool on October 9.
With a career spanning over 40 years, the group is arguably one of the leading bands of all time and has the lowest running intact personnel line up in music history.
The musicians have released 13 multi-platinum albums, sold 50 million records and produced well-known singles like “Gimme All Your Lovin’” “Sharp Dressed Man,” “La Grange” “Tush” and “Legs.” Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Talking Stick Resort Box Office at (480) 850-7734 or at www.talkingstickresort.com.
Formed by guitarist Billy Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard, ZZ Top released its debut album, appropriately entitled, “ZZ Top’s First Album,” in 1971. Known far and wide as “The Little Ol’ Band From Texas,” their distinct musical style is as instantly recognizable as lengthy beards sported by Gibbons and Hill.
Paradoxically, Frank Beard is typically just a mustache and some cheek scruff. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones and to date, has six number one hits on the Mainstream Rock chart and 11 gold records.
